The idea
Neighbors already have knowledge to share.
Many families cannot afford traditional private tutoring, while capable high school students are looking for service that feels concrete and worthwhile. Charitable organizations need sustainable community support, too.
This pilot organizes those strengths into a trusted local network: one student gets focused help, another contributes time and knowledge, and Elong directs net session profits to charitable giving.
Why local and in person?
Recurring relationships, familiar public places, and practical travel distances can make tutoring easier to trust and easier to keep.
Volunteer, not gig work
High school tutors contribute service and never receive session payments.
Elong-directed giving
Families pay for tutoring; Elong selects and pays charitable recipients.
Operations funded separately
Grants, sponsors, and direct support cover costs outside tutoring payments.
Live financial transparency
Follow payments from tutoring to local charities.
This read-only transaction ledger reflects updates made in Elong’s Google Sheet, including payments received and completed charity donations. Google may take a short time to display a newly saved change.
For privacy, this public ledger should contain transaction dates, amounts, status, and charity destinations—not student names, contact details, payment credentials, or other private information. The embedded ledger is hosted by Google.
